Moving doesn’t only refer to transportation, even though it means just that for most people. Moving includes various tasks like packing, loading, transport, unloading, and unpacking. Avoid obtaining used cardboard boxes, especially when moving fragile items, since chances are they’ll break, resulting in damage to your belongings. So, if possible, we recommend purchasing new cardboard moving boxes since they’re the best and cheapest type of universal moving containers out there.

If you move often and are tired of using cardboard boxes, we recommend thinking about plastic moving bins and containers. Now, those that move rarely don’t need to spend big bucks on these babies. But as mentioned above, people who travel a lot and move frequently should really think about investing in plastic moving boxes. Usually, plastic moving containers can be used for years, which is very beneficial when compared to disposable cardboard containers. In addition, plastic is a solid and durable material meaning that you don’t have to worry about them breaking. So, if you want to be 100 percent secure that your items are in “good hands,” we highly recommend getting plastic moving containers.

Next up is bubble wrap, which is considered an essential packing supply since it has a very versatile use. Not only can it be used to protect very valuable items like antiques, sculptures, and high-end artworks, but bubble wrap can be used to protect electronics like TVs, computers, and game consoles. Furthermore, using bubble wrap is highly recommended to protect glossary items, kitchenware, etc. So, whatever you plan on moving, remember that bubble wrap is a necessary packing supply as long as you purchase a high-quality one.

3. Packing Paper

Now, it’s time to talk about packing paper which is the most common means of protection, especially when it comes to protecting fragile items. It is best used as crumbling paper used to fill in the gaps (like cushioning), but it can also be used for other purposes. Statistics say that you will need about 4-5 lbs of packing paper per room of your house/apartment.

You will probably need 1.5 rolls of tape for every ten boxes. However, packing tape is not expensive, so we recommend getting more than you need since it can be used outside of packing for numerous house works and emergencies. 5. Markers and Labels

Oh, and don’t forget to purchase markers as they’re a perfect way to label all your boxes resulting in a much easier unpacking process without frustration. By using markers and labels, you’ll know which boxes should be prioritized and which can be left for the last day of unpacking. The same goes for labels. Markers and labels aren’t expensive since you don’t need premium ones.
